Expressions of interest from potential candidates for pursuing a full time PhD degree at the Human Sciences Research Centre are welcome. We have faculty with expertise and interest in supervising doctoral students in the disciplinary domains of history, political science, economics, literature, sociology, film studies and philosophy. At the same time, most of our faculty work at the intersection of more than one disciplines covering a range of themes in both their research and pedagogy. Hence, we are also open to engaging with prospective PhD students interested in pursuing more cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences.
